Equinox Gratitude Gathering and Circle
Thursday March 22nd, 2018, Lomitas School House
Inviting all healers, caregivers and those who have been attending to the emotional/physical/mental trauma in our county. Many of us have been serving the community and individuals since the fires, but we also need support for ourselves—a place to come together for just that purpose. Connect with like-hearts, integrate the past and set our intentions for the future-- both for ourselves and for the community. Come connect with your community, then dive deep into a lovingly guided circle (with options for just hanging out as well).Bring a pillow/blanket to sit on, a healthy dish, snacks or drinks to share, and something for the altar if you like. There will be tables to share bodywork, sound healing for movement. Let us together enjoy the beauty that is this life, even with all its challenges. During the potluck part, we will have students from Sacramento State Leadership program who are here to learn about resilience building and community engagement. You'll have the (very informal) option to share with them your experiences and your thoughts

Discussion with Lissa Rankin MD
Friday, Sept 30th
A dynamic and deep discussion on what really makes us heal and how we can create more ways to allow real real joy and vitality into our lives and those around us.
Lissa will present keys to support the challenges we face in today's world. We will also see how our own self-care is vital to better serve the more positive future we all know we want. We will be exploring such questions as: how does our healing relate to the healing of the planet?
How we can meet the real issues and challenges of our times while finding more balance in our own lives?
Lissa is fired up about healing our broken health care system and moving into a new paradigm of care starting with and within ourselves. She considers herself a "doctor of souls, not just bodies".

Saturday Workshop Details:
We will open the day with a Red Thread Circle where we infuse all the blankets with our group intentions. The threads will be stitched into the blankets. We will engage in a creative process of bringing our prayers, hopes, dreams into the fabric. For example, making strokes and dashes to represent people we are praying for, or marks to represent wounds we have healed or worked with, and writing positive messages. Throughout the day, Lissa and Shiloh will teach, tell stories and sit with you while you create. There will also be a thread of understanding how consciousness and
creativity can contribute to the healing of the earth.
You will leave with a blanket you have designed that carries the energy of your healing, or you can donate it and it will be given to people in need of healing, critically ill and in recovery. We will have live soundscape and sacred space setting throughout the day. The workshop culminates in a ceremony where we will invite in others from the community. The Medicine Blanket Project was inspired by a vision that Dr. Lissa Rankin had – and she has teamed up with Shiloh Sophia, and Jul Bystrova to create this event as an intersection to the projects each of these women works on and serves through in her life.
