Protecting the Protectors
What we, the medics, are doing, is keeping people alive. That being said, there are many aspects to that. Evaluation of each camp, to access their needs as far as medical supplies, structures to work out of, personal to maintain the medic area, EMS availability, response time, Lifeflight landing area, and projected camp population.
Also, it entails education of basic first aid, camp safety, hygiene, and scene evaluation. To include, frontline aid, eye flushes, decontamination, and follow up. To accomplish this takes donations, money and supplies. On our Facebook page, Protecting the Protectors, we post where we are and show what we are doing and list what our expenses are and do keep all receipts. We will stay out here as long as water protectors have boots on the ground.
Thank you and Mni Wiconi, WATER IS LIFE!!!
